Archers at the castle

This weekend, July 24-25, 2021, we invite you to the event "Archers at the Castle". The program will be performed by the archery group Vinedi. The event will take place both days from 09:00. until 17:00

In the area of the South Fortification you will have the opportunity to see at 11:30. "English archery unit", which will show you a demonstration of the training of the English archery unit from the middle of the 14th century, when archery was in its heyday.

At 14:30 you can look forward to the reconstruction of the medieval archery tournament "Exhibition Archery Tournament". The best archers selected by the nobility, under the flag of their master, with the help of their abilities and skills will try to win the title "Sagittarius Champion" in several disciplines.

Last but not least, you can become an archer from the Middle Ages for a while at 4:30 pm in the "Archery Tournament", where you can measure your strength in various archery disciplines.

In addition, you can look forward to a demonstration of historic spikes with an explanation and comparison with today's sports spikes, a shooting range where you can shoot a bow or crossbow at various targets, a period camp that offers a demonstration of a military camp of archers from the mid-14th century, which includes there is also a reconstruction of the period kitchen.
