Trenčianske Teplice, June 3, 2019 - The ART IN PARK Festival will revive the Trenčianske Teplice Spa Park with quality art on June 21-23. Once again, he will combine film, music, fine arts and theater in one place and bring some news. Part of the 4th year will be Italian cinematography, which will be presented in cooperation with the Italian Institute of Culture, and an important point this year will be ecology and the principles of Zero Waste.

The tradition of the film festival in Trenčianske Teplice will be complemented this year by music, theater, fine arts and a rich accompanying program. For the 4th time, the ART IN PARK festival will bring easy-to-grasp art for children, young people, families with children, lovers of quality films, music and art and spa guests.

Czechoslovak film production and Italian cinematography

The festival, in cooperation with ArtKin Metro, will screen 20 films in 5 film sections. "The main theme of the 4th year was Czechoslovak work dedicated to the 30th anniversary of the Gentle Revolution," says production manager Zuzana Danechová. Award-winning films by Jan Palach, Toman, Sharp Knife or Terrorist await visitors. In collaboration with the Italian Institute of Culture, the festival will bring Italian dramas intertwined with humor such as Full Strangers or Happy Lazzaro. The Oscar-winning films The Green Paper and Bohemian Rhapsody are also waiting for viewers, and this year will once again bring a range of the best short animated Oscar films. As part of the Art Selection, visitors can look forward to the musical film Summer or the story of Alexander McQueen. An interesting concept will be educational documents prepared in cooperation with environmental associations such as Woman at War or Wandering with a Reindeer. The films will be complemented by a screening for the youngest and a selection of the best student films of the ÁČKO festival.

Young and local musicians

The ART IN PARK festival once again creates a space for young musicians and local talents. This year, the talented musician Katarína Máliková or the English songwriter Emilio Pinchi, the Trenčín band Ticho, the formation from Čadca Blanch, as well as the bands Pudding Pani Elvisová and Papyllon will perform as part of concerts in the park. From DJs, visitors can look forward to DJ Matwe, DJ Bulp, DJ Mimi and Saturday night will include the popular concept of silent disco.

Support for student work

The original element of the festival will again be art installations that will decorate the Spa Park. The fourth year gives space exclusively to student works of SUŠ Trenčín and STU Bratislava under the guidance of artist, graphic artist and designer Milan Stanc. This year's theme is "Action-Reaction" and presents the interactivity of the elements and their reaction to the overall program in the park. The fashion show, which will present the design work of young designers from SUŠ Trenčín, also provides an opportunity for student work.

During the three days of the festival, a rich accompanying program is prepared for all visitors. In the morning, they will start with yoga in the park or a delicious breakfast, there will be creative workshops for children and adults, inspiring discussions or the services of local barbers. It will include a mini skate ramp from young boys from Trenčianske Teplice and a market with handmade products, which will also welcome, for example, a soap factory from Trenčianske Teplice. Within the theater, visitors will enjoy the SpozaVoza theater ensembles with the performance The Secret of the Ocean or the Kapor Na Scéne theater with the performance Robin Hood or the comedian Pavol Seriš with a stand-up show from the restaurant environment. A children's creative zone will be open for the little ones throughout the festival.

Ecology and principles of Zero Waste
