The story begins in 1969 ...

The creation of the Miloš Alexander Bazovský Gallery in Trenčín was also connected with the efforts of some important Trenčín and non-Trenčín artists to honor the memory and size of the work of MA Bazovský, who lived in Trenčín in his last years of life. The fact that the gallery was established even in these politically unfavorable times was a great merit of the Trenčín and non-Trenčín artists - painters Svetozár Abel, Ladislav Zdvíhal, Rudolf Mošek, Andrej Barčík, Michal Jakabčica, Vladimír Kompánek, sculptors Jozef Fizela, Andrej Rudavský, photographer Anton Štubň and others. The greatest organizational merit, however, belongs to the painter Ladislav Mošek, who also became the first director of the gallery. The works of these personalities will be presented to the public in an extensive exhibition collection on the occasion of its important jubilee - the 50th anniversary of its foundation.
