For Easter

Colored and decorated eggs, Easter eggs, are inextricably part of the symbols of Easter and have an old and rich tradition. You will learn what decorating techniques exist and which Easter eggs are the most expensive in the world at the already regular educational and creative event for Easter, which is popular with young and old alike.

On Thursday and Friday, March 30 and 31, and then from Monday to Wednesday , April 3 - 5, 2023, always from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. in the premises of the Hornonitrian Museum in Prievidza at Košovská cesta 9, they will once again demonstrate various egg decorating techniques, with regard to the preservation of traditions and Easter customs, folk artists Ľudmila Bátorová and Jana Slošiarová .

The presentation with lectures by female lecturers will introduce visitors to the history of decoration techniques along with examples of female authors' creations. In the creative part, participants learn the traditional technique of waxing. At the same time, they will be able to purchase an original Easter egg from the artist's workshop.

Blown eggshells must be brought to the event.
