Japanese weekend at the Beck castle

At Beckov Castle, somewhat unconventionally, you can travel in time and space and during the weekend you will find yourself in the land of the rising sun. You will experience how life used to be in Japan. You will experience a sample of traditional Japanese culture and a samurai show!

Program (Saturday, Sunday – stage):

10:00 a.m. falconry performance

11:00 How to dress properly - a demonstration with an explanation of traditional Japanese clothing

13:00 Tameshigiri or how to use Japanese swords correctly - explanation of weapons and demonstrations of their use

15:00 falconry performance

16:00 demonstration sparring in modern armor

17:00 falconry performance

As part of the accompanying activities, you can look forward to traditional Japanese cuisine or weapon demonstrations. Skilled people will certainly come to their own - there are workshops prepared for you, in which you can not only enjoy yourself - e.g. an exhibition of traditional ceramics, but also to try it yourself - whether it will be the production of vessels from pumpkins, calligraphy or furoshiki (decoration of fabrics) and kumihimo (production of decorative cords). There will also be dressing in a kimono, which is guaranteed to help you enjoy the atmosphere of the land of the rising sun.

In addition, there will also be classic guided tours of the castle, archery and small activities for children.
