Relatively unknown, but the remarkable pottery workshop from the Beltian village of Hontiy disappeared at the end of the 19th century. Can the memory of this traditional craft be revived?
Trenčianske múzeum v Trenčíne, in the founding area of Trenčiansky samosprávny kraj, prepared an interesting workshop called "Belujské hrnčiarstvo" on Friday 20 October 2017. Participants will be presented a pottery workshop from the village of Beluj through a short film projection with expert commentary. Part of the event will be a demonstration of the traditional process of shaping the vessel on the potter's circle as well as a practical part where visitors will be able to produce their own pottery clay objects.
