The first marc weekend (1.-3.3.2019) was held in the premises of the Černá louka exhibition center in Ostrava, a holiday fair that has been attracting tourists from various parts of the Czech Republic and Slovakia for many years. The touristic treasures of the Trenčian region, which were presented at the exhibition by the Regional Tourism Organization (KOCR) Trenčín region, were endowed with foreign offer.

The largest international tourism fair in the Moravian-Silesian Region has not left any reputation for its reputation. They did not miss inspiration for holiday for lovers of home, attractions and news in the field of tourism, culture, spa, nature, but also exotics and the "touch" of the Orient. Attention was paid to the tasting and the preparation of genuine Argentinean steaks. Visitors did not have to go far and from South America they were raiding in Slovakia. They were relishing snacks, ostrich and other traditional salad blessings brought from neighboring Slovakia by Salaša Zbojská hosts. Where to go on holiday were the Tourist Information Centers of the Czech Republic, among which were presented destinations like Olomouc, Kroměříž, Frýdek-Místek or Mikulčice. The cultural sidewalks attracted the UNESCO Bohemian Heritage Site and the intertwined cave corridors could be seen in the exhibition of the Caves of the Czech Republic.

The nearby region beyond the Slovak-Czech border and its tourist potential at the fair was presented by KOCR Trenčín region, which was part of the exhibition stand of the Zlín region. "We see the current trend of domestic holidays as an opportunity. It is just the regional tourism fairs that give space to present known to the visitor, but on the contrary lesser known cultural or natural monuments, which the tourist may not travel far, "said the chairman of the KOCR Trenčín region, Juraj Gerlici .

Visitors to the Trenčín region have been able to see the offer of tourism in the Trenčín Region thanks to the international project "Cultural and historical heritage as a basic attribute of national awareness" , in which the regional tourism organization Trenčín Region is involved as the main cross-border partner. In an effort to raise awareness of tourism richness in the two neighboring regions of the Slovak and Czech Republic, the Trenčín Region cooperates with the Tourist Authority of East Moravia. "Our intention is to delete the imaginary boundaries between neighboring regions and to offer tourist a comprehensive product linking the cultural and natural potential of regions with rich history," added the project manager KOCR Trenčín region, Pavol Štefčík . Cross-border cooperation will result in print materials, brochures, maps, as well as recommended literature for tourism professionals mapping the current state of the tourist base in the Trenčín and Zlín regions.
