Punk kids

The Punkáči deťom festival is a summer music benefit festival oriented in the style of punk-rock, ska, reggae, rockabilly, which has been held since 2008. The aim of the festival is to bring punk subculture closer to people who have perceived it as a "waste of society" and children who need it. We want to combine the pleasant with the useful and show people that even fun can help those who really need it. Part of the proceeds from the entrance fee will be donated to the Help for Children at Risk Foundation, which is aimed at helping sick, abused, abused and disabled children or children who are in danger of their health and life.

The festival will take place in the period 29.8.-31.8.2019 at the airport in Trenčín as the 9th year in a row. 40 bands will perform on it during 3 playing days. In addition to well-known bands on the underground scene, the organizers also give space to young promising bands, which also contributes to the development of culture in Slovakia. The organizers of the festival are volunteer enthusiasts from all over Slovakia, who sacrifice their holidays, time, energy and personal finances for the festival every year. All organizers are volunteers who do it without reward. The legal form of the festival is OZ Punkáči for children. For the last 3 years (2016, 2017, 2018), the festival managed to collect 34,322 euros from the entrance fee, which was donated to the children's foundation Helping Children at Risk
