One of the most important events for all hoteliers in the world is the Haute Grandier Global Valuation, which took place this year on November 1, 2018 at Pallazzo Versace, Dubai.

The award was attended by hotel representatives, VIPs from the Middle East, media and watched who would be awarded the prize for their restaurant, hotel or spa.

The evaluation is based on votes from the general public, hotel activities on the Internet, and then the expert committee decides to guarantee the transparency of the voting process.

The overall winner for the year 2018 was Five Palm Jumeriah Dubai, but Slovakia also had a hot shot on its way through Elizabeth of Trencin, which won the Best City Hotel Award in the region. The award from Marinique De Wet's hands, the founder of Haute Grandier, was taken over by Jan Svoboda, manager of the nominated hotel.

"We appreciate the award for Hotel Elizabeth in such a strong competition of global brands as a great advertisement not only for the city of Trenčín but also for Slovakia as a good visit destination where it is possible to find quality hotels with adequate services," Jan Svoboda said after receiving the award.

Hotel Elizabeth was opened in September 2012 after almost two years of renovation. It offers 78 comfortable rooms, the Caracalla Spa, the Sisi Art Nouveau Café and the original Elizabeth Restaurant. In the past, he has won several European awards and is currently run by T. Viganó, the current hotelier.
