ART IN PARK Festival Trenčianske Teplice this weekend!

Korben Dallas, Bad Karma Boy and the Czechoslovak film novel Man with Rabbit Ears

The ART IN PARK art festival, which takes place every year in the Spa Park , will end the cultural summer in Trenčianske Teplice at the end of August. Also this year we can look forward to great music concerts, accompanying activities or interesting films that will be screened in the open air.

Šulíková's tragicomedy under the open sky

The film is the film A Man with Rabbit Ears, in which director Martin Šulík once again joined forces with his long-time collaborator and screenwriter Marek Leščák, cinematographer Martin Štrb and producer Rud Biermann. The film opens up to the topic of interpersonal relationships and friendship in an impressive way. The tragicomedy tells the story of a man whose life is turned upside down from day to day. The man with the rabbit ears is at the same time a story about our ideas about life, which can sometimes be wrong and at the same time sad and comical. As part of the ART IN PARK festival, you can watch the film untraditionally right in the Spa Park.

Under the open sky, visitors to the festival will also be able to enjoy the new Czech comedy Prvok, Šampón, Tečka and Karel by director Patrik Hartl, who is also the author of the screenplay and the original book of the same name. In the story, four middle-aged friends decide to solve a personal crisis with a provocative game associated with performing various bold tasks.

Concerts, theaters for children and park market

Fans of the Slovak music scene are also waiting for a nice share of concerts. Already on Friday, they can look forward to the Slovak indie pop group Lavagance, which will also present a fresh novelty - the song LOST. In the evening, the main stage will belong to the band Korben Dallas, which has been performing on the stage since 2010 and is a regular guest at Slovak and Czech festivals. The chill-out zone in the park, meanwhile, will be dominated by DJ Stanley White, who has been involved in music production and event organization since 2015. He has a number of events on his account, especially in his native Žilina, where he performed with leading names on the Slovak music scene.

Saturday's musical part will be started by Mrs. Elvis's Pudding group, characterized by its unique handwriting, which is dominated by a mix of dance electronic music and other experiments. The evening stage will be taken over by the Slovak alternative-rock band Bad Karma Boy, which genre ranges from indie pop, indie rock, psychedelic pop and to some extent folk.

Traditional children's events and a popular market

At the ART IN PARK festival, even the youngest visitors will traditionally come to their senses. On Saturdays, they can watch the children's theater performance Vesmír. It will be performed in Trenčianske Teplice by the SpozaVoza Theater, which will also prepare a theater workshop for children on the same afternoon. Sunday morning will belong to the performance of Janko and Marienko, with whom the Divadlo z šuflíka will perform. In the afternoon we will have a weaving workshop, as well as a great reader by Brano Jobus. Accompanying events will be complemented by a popular market.

The sixth year of the ART IN PARK festival will take place over the weekend of August 27 - 29, 2021 in the Trenčianske Teplice Spa Park. Admission to the program is free.
