Every year, the summer months belong to the period when we like to indulge in a mixture of rest, relaxation and activity with family or friends in connection with exploring the surrounding beauties. Let your car rest in the garage and embark on an adventure with a two-wheeled companion! It is the Trenčín region that abounds in many cycle routes that are worth crossing. As if to just pass! It pays to stop every moment, enjoy nature, history and enjoy wonderful moments with the sun overhead and a gentle wind in your hair. In the article you can read about 3 selected bike paths, but no matter which of the available ones you choose, you don't bother.

The new cycling route combines sport and relaxation

At the end of June 2021, the longest section of the Vážská cycle route, exceeding 20 km, was ceremoniously opened, connecting Nové Mesto nad Váhom with Trenčín. The cycle route connected to the already existing section between Horná Streda and Nový Mesto nad Váhom. Cyclists can cross the border with the Trnava region to Trenčín in an ecological way. The route is suitable for all enthusiasts of a two-wheeled "friend", for large and small ones. In addition to a pleasant walk, you can be attracted by several stops, which you do not need to think about for a long time.

The recreation center Zelená Voda is an excellent choice for a summer holiday in Slovakia. It is located just 2 km from Nové Mesto nad Váhom and provides many leisure activities and relaxation. You can try, for example, paddle boards, rent electric bicycles, play beach volleyball, go hiking and much more.

There are also several castles nearby, offering guide services, such as the Trenčiansky and Beckov and Čachtice castles. You can visit all three in one day or you can divide them. It is up to you whether you prefer intense cognition or prefer cognition along with rest and relaxation. Either way, you can take a few days' trip out of this cycle route and experience everything you are in the mood for.

Cycling route Trenčín - Nemšová- Brumov

The second freshest cycle route, which is very popular, was officially opened in the summer of 2020. On two wheels you can get from Trenčín Castle via the old railway bridge, Nemšová to Horní Srnia and from there to Brumov. There are several stops along the road where it is worth getting off the saddle. The oldest pilgrimage site in Slovakia, Skalka, attracts with its pulsating energy to discover the place. Open the gate and enter the history, which is surrounded by nature, beautiful views and peace.

Another stop in the Trenčín region is Nemšová and the legendary 250-year-old Králikov mlyn. It will also reveal its unique technical equipment when you visit it. The door is always open on Thursdays and Saturdays.

The length of the cycle route exceeds 30 km and it also includes cycle stands with basic service equipment or information boards. The route is undemanding and also suitable for families with children. You can cross it on road and trekking bikes.

From Trenčín to Považský Inovec

The almost 70 km cycle path with an elevation gain of almost 2000 m, beautiful views, trail passages and technical sections is one of the most beautiful on which you can currently ride. It will take you from the unique forest park Brezina from the center of Trenčín through Soblahov, Mníchová Lehota and Chata pod Inovcom to the lookout tower on Inovec. You will continue along the ridge with marked paths to the Havran saddle. We recommend the route especially to experienced MTB bikers who are at home in any terrain.
