The magic of Christmas under the castle

After a two-year break, the "Magic of Christmas under the Castle" festival returns in full splendor, with a varied program, a Christmas fair and Christmas markets. Already on Katarína, you can look forward to a full Mierová and Štúrovo square breathing in the pre-Christmas atmosphere.

Christmas craft markets 2022 will open on the square at 10:00 a.m. In 56 wooden houses, craftsmen and traders with their products and traditional pre-Christmas drinks and refreshments will make themselves at home. Craftsmen will be on the square until December 22, offering their products every day until 7:00 p.m. and in the stalls you will find ceramics, jewelry, wood products, stained glass, toys, cute little things and handmade products. You will be able to taste food and drinks for one more day (until December 23) every day until 22:00.

The program will be rich - we select at least a few of the most famous names: Peter Bič Project, Katka Koščová, Štefan Štec, Banda, Milo Kráľ Band and Barbora Švidraňová, Adriena Bartošová, Juraj Hnilica, Komajota and others.

The program of the first Advent weekend will start on stage at 5:00 p.m. with well-known Christmas hits performed by the trio Sima, Joe & Juro from Trenčín . The time from 19:00 will belong to the Slovak alternative rock group Bad Karma Boy , whose concert will be carried on the waves of pop, indie-soul and electronics. On Saturday, November 26, at 3:00 p.m. , the charming female trio Chick2Chick will sing well-known Christmas songs, which will be replaced at 5:00 p.m. by world music and the Moravian singer Tomáš Kočko with the orchestra . Sunday afternoon will belong to the Christmas program of the well-known brass band Drietomanka (15.00) and Frankie Sinatra's most famous Christmas hits performed by the Ludo Kuruc Band (17.00).
