Peter Župník - ANIMA

After successful authors' exhibitions of some members of the Slovak New Wave group in the recent past - Vasila Stanka, Ruda Prekopa, Kamila Varga in Miloš Alexandr Bazovský Gallery in Trenčín, this year, another photographer, Peter Župník, will be presenting in his exhibition premises.

The extensive independent project A N I M A in Trenčín will present for the first time Župník's photography with an animated theme across its over thirty years of creative artistic way.

More than 50 photos with the author's fine gadgets (each of the photographs is so original) is a fairly complex view of the magical and poetic photographic world of the artist, whose many forms and imaginative revelations in the animal kingdom fascinate from the students' time, over decades to this day.

The exhibition, alongside many original soloists and several digital frames, will present four analogue (manually-induced) large-format photos (110 x 170 cm) from the eighties. Also photographs printed on nine on two large wooden boards with cat and raven theme. It is a new original author Žabník's presentation, which he has recently used in his work.

The entire collection came as a result of a thorough search and selection of the author from the vast array of archive photographs he photographed during his decade-long photographic journey.

The exhibition presents photographs from the 80s to the present. Each of the animated themes, just like the other Župník projects, only reaffirms the variable visual ability to see the artist around us.

With the correct techniques of photography, the lack of framing, the emphasis on selected details and the distinctive habits, both his real and virtual, living and inanimate creatures appear as symbols of emotional relationship, joy, care, and love, sometimes as a metaphor of darkness, darkness and vague fears and uncertainties . All of this, along with Jupiter's intuition, makes his photographs unique, mystical and mysteriously magical.
