Presenting the individual districts of the Trenčín Region will end in Púchov. The region, known for its strong industry, offers many attractions for tourists. You will find the youngest spa, one of the largest villages and places with exceptional history.

The district is crossed by the river Váh, located on the border of the White Carpathians, Javornik and Strážovské vrchy. It merges with the districts of Považská Bystrica and Ilava, its northern border is also a state border with the Czech Republic. It has an advantageous location - this highway runs along the main railway line between Bratislava and Kosice, which is currently being modernized.

The area is Púchov among the smaller districts of Slovakia - more than 44,000 inhabitants live on an area of ​​375 km². In its territory there is one city - Púchov - and another 20 villages.

Puchov region is characterized by several attractions. Its territory extends into three protected landscape areas - Kysuce, White Carpathians and Strážovské vrchy. The central parts of the Javornik and Strážovské vrchy are, in addition, protected areas of natural water accumulation. There are also two small-scale protected areas in the district - the Lednické Brálo Nature Reserve and the Lednice Rocks Natural Monument.

The history of the district town itself dates back to the Paleolithic. Among the important discoveries are the burial ground of the Lusatian culture, but also the burials of the unicultural culture. Today you can visit the town of historical monuments to visit the Župný dom, the seat of the Museum of Puchov Culture, two Catholic and one Evangelical church. Memorial Street on Moravska Street has a direct connection to two personalities - Vladimir Roy and John Amos Comenius.

The experience is also a visit to the Púchov Rocks, which can be reached by a tourist walkway from the district town. People lived there forever, and Janka Matuska also became an inspiration, capturing the reputation of the rock. According to him, it was opened just on Good Friday, and fairy tales appear in his bowels. However, visiting it also during the rest of the year, it is one of the favorite places for relaxation and hiking.

Tourism is dominated by Nosická Dam, which is the oldest in Váh. Its construction started in 1949, but it was completed nine years later. The reason was the healing water they discovered during the construction. Since 1959, healing patients have been receiving patients with respiratory diseases, metabolism, digestive tract, locomotor system, with female and oncological diseases.

Skiers, as well as tourists, will come to Mojtín, Lazoch under Makytu and Dešnej - Lyse under Makati. The lovers of history will be fascinated, besides the 13th century Lednice Castle, also with the English park in Lednice Rovnia and the local glass museum.
