New Year's Eve climb to Strážov

The Slovak Tourist Club Dubnica nad Váhom invites you to the traditional New Year's Eve climb to Strážov.

A joint ascent route is planned from Zliechov following the red tourist sign (1.5 h). However, you can also choose an alternative and start from Čičmian and continue along the red hiking trail or along the yellow trail to the Samostrieľ saddle and then along the green trail to the top. A longer option is offered from Pružina Priedhoria following the yellow tourist sign to the Samostrieľ pass and further along the green sign, or from Priedhoria following the green sign to Strážovská dolina (Červíkova chata) and continuing along the yellow sign past the Strážovské waterfalls to the pass to the red sign from Zliechov. Following this route, you will climb to the Strážov hill itself.
