Traditional Vrbovčan fair

In Vrbovce near Myjava, a unique event will take place on the second Saturday of October - the Vrbovský fair. If you want to learn the craft of basketry and willow weaving appeals to you, you are welcome.

The rich fair program will include demonstrations of the production of wicker baskets with the participation of some basket makers who participated in the planting of a willow plantation in this village. There will be a tasting of the best honey from local beekeepers, butcher specialties, activities for children and adults. Brass music will also play to make it fun.

Note: About 50 volunteers under the leadership of master basket maker Ing. On April 2, Ján Zeman planted 5,200 seedlings, 24 types of bred basket willows, which grew beautifully. They created the first gene pool wand and gave this beautiful village a "handy object" of the name of their village Vrbovce.
