History, legends, traditional folk culture or enormous natural wealth. The tourist attraction, which the Trenčian region has in its disposal, could be found in the exhibition stand of the regional tourism organization Trenčín region at the ITF Slovakiatour International Tourism Fair in Bratislava.

The biggest tourist trade fair in Slovakia and one of the most important fairs in Central Europe opened the gates already 23 times. The Ministry of Transport and Construction of the Slovak Republic (MDR SR) has again taken over the patronage of ITF Slovakiatour. About 350 exhibitors from 22 countries presented this year's exhibition space at Incheba Expo Bratislava. Visitors could draw inspiration from the regions of Slovakia as well as from various parts of the world.

The exhibition of the Trenčín Region at the trade fair was presented for the first time by the Regional Tourism Organization (KOCR) Trenčín Region. Representatives of KOCR presented the well-known and less well known beauties of the region, and the exhibition was enriched by a showcase of the production of the popular lace and the "living Báthorička". The visitor was approaching traditional craftsmanship for four days - chictery - holder of the award "Country Woman of the Year - Líderka 2016" Mária Mizeráková . "I was surprised how many people are interested in this old craft today. It is nice to see that traditional customs and values ​​are not forgotten, " said the 2016 leader in the field of crafts.

The biggest attraction of the KOCR Trenčín region has become a social game called "Mysterious Castles in the Trenčín Region" . A handyly illustrated graphically processed map translates the territory of the Trenčín region, where players visit 11 castles, castle ruins, chateaux, tourist outlooks or a cave. In this way, they can explore the unknown places and reveal the secrets of the legends of the castle castles of the Trenčín region. "We have prepared a new promotional material, which our region presents as" the region of castles and chateaus ". At the same time, it highlights the highest concentration of castles and chateaux from all regions of Slovakia and a fun way of attracting young people to learn the history of the Trenčín region ", presented the play KOCR Trenčín Region Juraj Gerlici .

At the KOCR Trenčín Region, visitors could find promotional materials of all regional tourism organizations (OOCRs) operating in the Trenčín Region. The smallest visitors wished various gift items and "real bloody bones" by Alžbeta Báthory , which brought the mysterious atmosphere of the underground. Not a single participant in the fair wished to take the opportunity to take a photo of Cachacek and take a rare souvenir in the form of "selfie" photography. Nowadays, the catholic underground is a small, but most interesting part of the original extensive system of underground vineyards and shelter pens. The 150 meter long underground corridor in the village of Čachtice was presented by Miroslav Bitarovský, a member of the Slovak Underground. "We are preparing a lot of news for this year's season. In addition to traditional tours and special wine tasting entries, we are working on the idea of ​​a new form of tours, popular escape "escape" games, " said Bitarovsky.

The afternoon program of the first day of the fair belonged to the professional public. The opening ceremony of ITF Slovakiatour 2017 was attended by representatives of the self-governing regions, the State Secretary of MDV SR Peter Ďurček , Incheba Expo Director General Alexander Rozin and many other rare guests. The invitation to the opening was also accepted by the Deputy Chairman of Trenčiansky samosprávny kraj Richard Takac, the chairman of KOCR Trenčín region Juraj Gerlici and the executive director of KOCR Trenčín region Eva Frývaldská .

The largest tourist fair in Slovakia ITF Slovakiatour in Bratislava brought to the public the opportunity to get to know the beauty of the individual regions of Slovakia, the various world destinations and the natural or cultural wealth of the country.
