61st MYJAVA International Folklore Festival

The MYJAVA International Folklore Festival is one of the three largest and most important folklore festivals in Slovakia. Due to unfavorable time last year, the 61st year was moved to 2021. Due to the fact that the current situation is more favorable, we are pleased to announce that the Center of Traditional Culture Myjava and the city of Myjava are preparing a series of programs between 14 and 20 June 2021, which viewers will be able to watch on the social network, on youtube, via television and, if possible, and the Myjava district will break free from the burgundy color, so to a limited extent directly on the streets of Myjava. It will be a combined program composition, which will not only consist of archival materials, but also completely new programs prepared in advance, recorded, recorded for the needs of the festival.

Video recipes focused on traditional cuisine, films dedicated to folk crafts, recordings of successful programs from previous festival years, dance schools and competitions, thematic exhibitions, streams and more will be prepared.
