Christmas Christmas under the castle

On Wednesday, December 5, 2018, Nicholas will begin Christmas markets in Mierovo Square, lasting almost 3 weeks and ending in the evening before December 23rd. Wooden craftsmanship booths are already ready for hand-picked craftsmen with beautiful products, gifts and crisps. In 44 stalls you will be able to find hand made items, ceramics, knits, Christmas wreaths and ornaments, honeycombs, glass stained glass, jewelry and many others. In some cottages, there will be several vendors with a different offer of beautiful things for 19 days, so the markets will offer visitors new discoveries even with more visits. When they shake their hands and freeze their noses, there will be 12 stalls with hot punch, boiled wine and freshly prepared food.

Visitors will have concerts and stage performances in the center of Christmas markets during each of the 19 days. Among the most outstanding ones are Fragile, Korben Dallas, Peter Bič Project, Banda, Lúčnice, Mirka Partlová and Cimbal Brothers, but these are just a fraction of the program. There will be around 500 performers on stage in Trenčín. During the working days, they will play and sing only in the evenings, but during the weekends they are ready for visitors all day programs Everyone will find their own, different genres from folklore, through traditional Christmas carols to rock and pop. For many, however, the smallest and most beautiful experience will be the blushing of children's faces from the art schools of Trenčín during their recitals.
