SNP thanksgiving march 2023 - Cígeľ - Handlová

Supporters of nature and tourism of all ages, don't miss the biggest winter tourism event in Upper Nitra, which is the 47th SNP THANKSGIVING MARCH

Organizers: The municipality of Cigeľ in cooperation with the City of Handlová, the Association of Towns and Municipalities of Horná Nitra, the Slovak Union of Anti-Fascist Fighters, the Trenčín Self-Governing Region and the Club of Slovak Tourists of the Prievidza Region

Place: Cigeľ village and Handlová town

Participation: Nature and hiking enthusiasts of all ages. Younger children accompanied by adults. For the sake of safety, we do not recommend the participation of children under 3 years old. You can register directly at the presentations in Cigli and Handlova. Participation fee Adults: €5, children under 15: €3. The fee includes refreshments, badge, participation card, insurance, transport by special connection and technical security. Accommodation is not provided

Transportation:

Railway station platform no. 10 from Prievidza to Cigľ at 7:00 a.m. – 8:30 a.m.

Handlová - House of Culture - Cigeľ departure: 7:30 a.m

After the end of the event: from Cigľ - to Prievidza from 1:00 p.m. - 4:00 p.m.

Presentation: Culture House Cigeľ – 7:00 a.m. – 9:30 a.m., House of Culture Handlová 7:00 a.m. - 8:15 a.m., Handlová - Pizzeria Papučka from 10:00 a.m. for route P3

Ceremonial opening: Cigeľ - Monument to the fallen at 9:30 a.m.

Ski trails

L1 Brick - White stone - Brick. The color is blue. Length 20 km, altitude 660 m, difficulty: difficult.

L2 Brick – Brick cottage – Brick. The color is blue, green above the lift. Length 16 km, altitude 380 m, difficulty: moderately difficult.

Walking routes

P 1 Brick – White stone - Brick. Length 10 km, altitude 660 m, difficulty: moderately difficult.

P 2 Cigeľ – Tri studničky – Handlová – Pizzeria Papučka. Length 15 km, altitude 420 m, difficulty: moderately difficult.

P 3 Handlová Pizzeria Papučka – One well - Pizzeria Papučka. Length 3 km, altitude 120 m, difficulty: for youth and parents with children.

P 4 Cigeľ – Jančekova skala – Cigeľ. Length 6 km, altitude 420 m, difficulty: for youth and parents with children
