The main mission of the Municipal Museum of Partizánske is the conscientious collection, protection, scientific and professional processing and making available of collections acquired by ownership, or by purchase or donation as material documents to the history of Partizánske as well as to the surrounding region. The results of its professional activity are popularized by exhibitions, besied, lectures, promotional materials and publications with an emphasis on youth and regional education.

At the same time, it is the mission of the museum and the mediation of various exhibitions with different thematic focus, from different areas of life. The great advantage of the museum is the attractive location 5 minutes walk from the center as well as the adjacent building of the city library. In addition to the town museum, visitors can also take excursions to the local water castle, the natural Bielice muddy grounds, stroll along Červená Street, visit the dominant of the city - the Church of the Divine Heart of Jesus or the Observatory in Little Bielice.
