Lantern procession of St. Martina

The Trenčín Family Center invites parents and children to the Lantern Parade of St. Martin, which will take place on Friday, November 11, 2022.

The tradition of processions is inspired by the friendly gesture of St. Martin, who shared his cloak with the poor on the road, lighting the light of hope and love in him.

The parade will start at 5:00 p.m. in front of the parish church of the Nativity of the Virgin Mary, where a short theatrical performance will take place. The lantern procession will move through the alleys to the Family Center on Farská Street, where a small agape will be prepared for everyone.

You will need a smile and a good mood to light the light of hope and love in your hearts, as well as in the hearts of those around you. Musicians and singers are also looking forward to you.

We recommend that children bring lanterns with them. In case they fail to provide their own lantern, we will have one ready for everyone.
