FERLINGHETTI 101

Lawrence Ferlinghetti is one of the most important living poets. In addition to his work, he became famous as a publisher of works by the authors of the beat generation, but especially through the following process associated with the publication of the "obscene" book Howl by Allen Ginsberg.

We will present the work and personality of the poet, intellectual and anarchist Ferlinghetti in the garden of the city library through an unconventional medallion, consisting of poems, interviews and other shorter texts. The spoken word is complemented by acoustic and electric guitar.

The original event from the workshop of our library was chosen for the realization by the purely Dubnice team. The lyrics are read by Mária Badačová and Samuel Valuch, and Matej Barták will play the guitar.
