CONTACT 2022

The Regional Cultural Center in Prievidza cordially invites you to a regional promotion competition and a show of author's popular music - KONTAKT 2022.

Contact is a nationwide competition and a show of non-professional music groups and soloists of popular music. The competition is a top event of its kind in Slovakia and with several interruptions has been held since 1994, first under the name Country Rodeo (1994-1995), since 1996 under the name Strunobranie (with the exception of 1999-2009, when it was called Strunobranie / Folkfórum) and since 2022 the competition is known as Kontakt. The predecessor of Kontakt was the All-Slovak competition show of tramp, folk and country music entitled Dusty Roads Here to Us 1982 (1982-1991). Contact gives space to talented musicians (vocalists and instrumentalists) who can present themselves in various music genres of popular music. The main goal of the competition is to support and develop the artistic and concert activities of bands and soloists, their authorial instrumental and textual work in the Slovak language and also to increase their musical and interpretive level. The guest of the competition show is the band Chiki liki tu-a. Performers: Dissmatist, Juraj Harag, Bedňa, Paulína Fundárková, Florabelle, Miroslav Vranský.

The event will take place on Saturday, June 11, 2022 on the field under the parish in Bojnice, beginning at 4 p.m.
