Institutions that have an open door to the public

In an emergency regime full of strict measures, the turnover of tourists and visitors was reduced to a minimum. Many of them do not go to nature or society due to fears of infection, but the other part does not have enough information about where they could go during this period. Despite the complexity of the current situation, there are many facilities that can be visited. All you have to do is follow all hygiene measures, including distances and the maximum number of people.

In addition to nature walks, a visit to castles and chateaux is popular in the Trenčín region. This is still possible according to the current opening hours, which, as a rule, you can find on the website or on the facebook fanpage of a particular landmark. The condition is hand disinfection, drape application and a maximum of 5 people. At this time, all castles and castle ruins are open to the public, including Trenčianske, Beckovský, Čachtický and Bystrica Castle . Some, such as Uhrovec Castle, are under construction, but will be available to the public until November 1, 2020, depending on the weather. The weather also plays a role in the case of Lednice Castle.

Bojnice Castle is no exception to the open institution: “The castle remains open during the classic opening hours, every day except Monday from 10.00 am to 3.00 pm, with the tours without guide services. Upon entry, visitors will receive an information leaflet in printed or electronic form, choose the desired circuit - either gallery, castle or both at the same time and go through the castle at their own pace in compliance with strict hygiene regulations. There is a supervisor at individual sites who can answer any questions, " said Petra Gordíková, the cultural and promotional manager of the Slovak National Museum, Bojnice Museum.

Bojnice Castle is part of the Slovak National Museum , which covers up to 61 exhibitions throughout Slovakia, all of which remain open . The Dubnický manor house in Dubnice nad Váhom also remains open, where the tours take place within the standard opening hours with a limit of 2 visitors, or one family per one tour.

For information on the library, gallery and museum

Libraries also record a reduced number of visitors, even though they remain open. "We operate during standard opening hours, disinfecting the premises every hour. It is noticeable that people are less afraid and people visit the library, so it is not a problem to follow the regulations on the maximum number of people. We also keep the 2 meter spacing, which we have indicated on the floor, " said Marta Píšová, coordinator of services for the Upper Nitra Library in Prievidza.

Interesting exhibitions are available in several galleries in the Trenčín Region, including the Miloš Alexander Bazovský Gallery in Trenčín , which houses not only permanent exhibitions, but also exhibitions "Erika Miklóšová: Abstract Landscapes" and "Lucia Mlynčeková: (Vý) stavoprojekt Trenčín . The Regionart Gallery in Prievidza with the exhibition "Tropical Insects from Michal Zachar's Private Collection" is not left behind either.

Museum lovers will appreciate that, while observing hygienic principles, they can visit, for example, the Dušan Samuel Jurkovič Museum in Brezová pod Bradlom or the Trenčín Museum in Trenčín . In this case, too, the disinfection obligation, the drape worn and the maximum number of 5 people apply.

Tourists will certainly be pleased with the information that the tourist information centers in the Trenčín Region also remain open. Last week, the Púchov Information Center recorded several people interested in regional culture from various parts of Slovakia.

Fun and relaxation are available

Excursions still have the opportunity to visit, for example, the Park of Miniatures in Podolí , which will be open classically until November. In case you would like to look at the stars and have a small private tour of the sky, just order the Observatory in Partizánske and they will be happy to do a tour for the family in the morning.

The listed facilities belong only to a handful of those that continue to offer services to the general public. All you have to do is search for local cultural centers, libraries, galleries and museums and support their operation with your visit. They will be rewarded with a pleasant day in the embrace of culture and great experiences.
