Exhibition: Ivana Šáteková

The New Wave Civic Association cordially invites you to the opening of the exhibition: Ivana Šáteková, which will take place on September 20, 2018 at 20.00 in the premises of Merina's Studio (Noe Building, 4th floor) in Trenčín. The accompanying program of the opening will be the performance of Erich and Šimon Vladár. The exhibition will run from 20 September to 26 October 2018.

The studio is open on a working day from 10.00 to 17.00.

Ivana Šáteková

She is the artist of a young generation of Slovak authors. Comes from Bratislava. In 2012, she completed her studies at the University of Fine Arts - Department of Painting and Other Media at Professor Daniel Fischer. In 2013 she became the finalist of the Essl Art Award, and in 2014 she was awarded the Tatra Banka Award. Already at school, her ironizing art language began to form, dealing with themes of Slovak folklore, comics and some subjective sociological research. The media that chooses for its works is diverse and always dependent on the issues it is dealing with (embroidery, watercolor, installation and new media). She has exhibited at many domestic exhibitions, with a large part of her own large exhibitions (Up hajl, Dole Hajl, There were both men and women, Hejtslováci).
