A native of the Trenčín region, a personality of Slovak history of the 20th century, an important politician, visionary, reformer and European. Such was Alexander Dubček, whose legacy comes to life in a competition announced by the Trenčín self-governing region and the municipality of Uhrovec.

If you have not yet participated in the competition with the apt title Youth and the Legacy of Alexander Dubček, you can do so until the end of June this year, in which we commemorate the 100th anniversary of the birth of a personality from the village Uhrovec. If your pen is predatory and your thoughts playful, you are probably also an aspiring winner. The aim of the competition is to obtain from young people opinions and views on the personality of Alexander Dubček, his life and characteristic features, and also to recall the importance of this personality of modern history of Slovakia, which is still recognized throughout the world.
