In this prestigious competition, the Slovak representative, Elizabeth of Trenčín, was also nominated . The historic hotel, owned by the Synot Holding Group, has won prestigious national and European awards - Hotelier of the Year 2016, Europe's Best Historic City Hotel 2016 and Best Historic Hotel with Customer Service in Europe in 2015. This time, the Hotel Elizabeth succeeded in converting the nomination to the world award. He became the regional winner of the Romantic Hotel category of more than 600 nominations. Visitors from around the world voted a jury in three rounds.

At the ceremony gala dinner held in Dohe, the award was personally received by Elizabeth Hotel General Manager - Ján Svoboda .
