Winefest - Wine Festival at Trenčín Castle

After three successful years in the center of Žilina, the Winefest event is coming to the important historical city of Trenčín. The tasting will take place directly in the premises of the largest landmark of Považia – the castle of Matúš Čák on 15.10. between 13:00 and 19:00 .

Trenčín became the European Capital of Culture for 2026, which was the main reason for Winefest entering this city. His task is to prove that wine has been part of Slovak culture for many centuries and is a form of art – a piece of transformed nature in a glass with the help of hands and acquired experience. Many winemakers, who will bring their masterpieces for display, are making a good name for Slovak winemaking and viticulture thanks to their successes in international competitions.

Each participant will be able to taste more than 100 samples as part of the entrance fee from well-known and lesser-known producers from Malé Karpaty to Vihorlat. In order for a pleasant atmosphere to prevail throughout the duration of the event, in addition to the unique venue, musical artists of various genres will also contribute to this. If someone doesn't think culture is enough, as part of the entrance fee, they can take a tour of the castle - a small circuit where they can discover the charm of the Middle Ages or take a cool selfie in an interesting place. In addition to new knowledge about wines and photos from the event, everyone can take away any bottle of wine, as the entrance fee includes a €7 coupon for buying wine , so you can reminisce with friends or acquaintances about the past weekend even after a few days. Every visitor can participate in a raffle for some interesting prizes.
