At present, extensive reconstruction is being carried out at Považský Hrádek thanks to the project for restoration and preservation of cultural and historical heritage in Slovakia. This project is funded by the European Economic Area and the Norwegian Fund. Thanks to this initiative, a new documentary video was presented presenting the Považský Castle.

The project for the restoration and preservation of the cultural and historical heritage in Slovakia involved 21 historic objects from all over Slovakia. As part of the project, a series of documentary films have been produced showing the use of the funds raised and the progress of work on reconstructed historical monuments. The goal of the creators is to provide this collection of documents to viewers in Slovakia, Norway, Iceland and Liechtenstein. Consequently, domestic public television, individual cultural monuments and embassies in Slovakia. They will be promoted not only at home but also abroad.

The documentary about the castle is one of a series of such films. It documents the reconstruction work on the castle as well as the rehabilitation of the rock, the preservation of the above-mentioned walls and the archaeological research, which is part of the reconstruction. "The construction works that are under way are part of the wall's conservation, not a complete renovation. It's about saving what's supposed to fall and the half-time of decay, " Miroslav Tichý , chairman of the association , said. Apart from the educational nature, the video also has a notable significance for the promotional purposes of this monument. In addition to working on the walls, the pictures capture the beautiful surroundings of the castle from the birds' perspective, its surroundings or the overall appearance of the monument. The video also has the potential to be used in regional media, and can reach a wide audience through various distribution channels and social networks.

"We promote Trenčín region as a region of castles and chateaux, so we are very pleased with every activity that presents the beauties of our castles and can support their visitors. The Regional Tourism Organization (KOCR) Trenčín region also contributed to the promotion of the castles of the Trenčín Region by creating attractive promotional videos for Trenčiansky Castle, Tematín Castle and videos for the ŠTURIZMUS project which, within 1 minute, offers shots of most castles in the Trenčín region, " said the President KOCR Trencin region Juraj Gerlici .
