In the country of drotary

Come and admire the beauty of Drotar Art as part of the project "Know the Values ​​and Traditions of Cultural Heritage".

In the country of the Drotary, the name of the exhibition was prepared by the Považská Osvobození Center in Považská Bystrica in cooperation with the Považský Museum in Žilina, the Warehouse in Hlohovec and Mr. Ladislav Jurovatým junior. It is dedicated to the genus Jurovatých - Ladislav Jurovatý st. is a native of Lúk, his son Ladislav Jurovatý ml., who also forms in Lysí pod Makytou, is the successor of this tradition. Together with other artists, they will present and approach their creative skills and work, resulting in original products and artworks. Their efforts and creative work prove that drotarism is well-rooted in our tradition, only its original, usually utilitarian meaning is shifting to creative work with material.

The exhibition will run until November 16, 2018 and will be open on working days from 9.00. to 16.00 h. in the premises of the Považský osvetový center on the street Partizánske 1132/52 (building of the Secondary School).
