A ten-year lonely guardian of flooded souls

The old, small cemetery surrounded by a church stands alone in the middle of the rocks between the town of Povazia - north-east of the Slávnica airport. The picturesque and charming bell towers and meditations have been preserved from the 12th century in almost unchanged form. John the Baptist remained the only memorial to the Dominican settlement, destroyed by the medieval flood. Only four families have survived the earthquake, and they have founded the new village of Sedmer near. It is said that they named after the seven sheep, also rescued from wild water. Access to the monument is by road from the village of Sedmerovec or by a fixed way through the former railway station.
