Exhibition Tribute to Pažický

Slovak National Museum - The Museum of the Slovak National Councils in Myjava is preparing an exhibition entitled Tribute to Pažický in its premises. It will open on April 7 and the exhibition will run until June 10, 2021.

Daniel Pažický was an important Myjava printer. This year, 140 years have passed since his birth (March 3, 1881) and 80 years since his death (January 29, 1941). The exhibition captures his work in the context of the history of book printing, while also commemorating the 170th anniversary of Ján Trokan Mijaw's extensive poetic work with a new age and the 110th anniversary of the monograph Myjava, which was printed by Daniel Pažický. SNM - The SNR Museum will also present its visitors with a rare exhibit from its collections - the Melantrich Bible from 1577.

Due to current measures, the exhibition will initially be presented only through the media and the Internet.
