The building was declared a national cultural monument at the instigation of the Bbbarov Civic Association in 2005. The building is located on Bojnická cesta č. 2 in the railway station area. It was built between 1912 and 1913, expanded in 1938. With its technological equipment, it is the most preserved object of its kind in Slovakia. It is an important document of the development of the architecture of the railway constructions and of the history of this type of transport in Slovakia.
