From Friday, October 5th to Sunday, October 7th, 2018, journalists from Austria had the opportunity to get to know the locations of the Trenčín region, which are known for their high visibility and popularity with domestic and foreign tourists. Myjava, Bojnice, Čachtice, Trenčín and Trenčianske Teplice were also positive.

The Regional Tourism Organization (KOCR) Trenčín Region also invited representatives of foreign electronic and print media this year to an information tour across the regions. Thanks to this, they were familiar with the tourist places that were close enough. The region has been interested in media professionals in the field of travel, tourism, history or lifestyle.

The interest in the discovery of monuments and culture was evident

Tourists from Austria come to the Trencin region every year with great interest. Though history and culture are of interest to them, the region has ambitious traffic numbers to increase and support tourism and general awareness of this territory.

The Infocenter for Austrian journalists was prepared in cooperation with the Foreign Tourism Agency of the Slovak Republic in Vienna. "Last year, the Trenčín Region visited more than 5,000 tourists from Austria. Due to the geographic proximity of our two countries, this number is relatively low. We would like to increase the number of visitors, so we invited journalists from the Austrian media and showed them the most attractive locations in our region. We believe that the articles, which will be published thanks to the infocese, will attract more Austrian visitors to the Trenčín region, "explained the Executive Director of KOCR Trenčín region Eva Frývaldská.

The information tour program was rich and varied

Journalists began their journey in the Kopanic region, in the Gazdovsky dvor, where they had the opportunity to see traditional Myjavian costumes and customs or a tasty home-made kitchen. Consequently, after a move to Trenčín, a spectacular sightseeing of the city, Trenčín Castle was prepared. The Friday program was completed by a tour of the Lanius brewery, which boasts its uniqueness. Within Trencin, the only brewery in which the beer is directly boiled.

Saturday was a fairy tale due to the visit of the Bojnice Chateau and a new feature - a 30-meter high perspective that uncovered not only Bojnice but also the surrounding towns and villages. A tour of the town of Trenčianske Teplice, which included a visit to the real Hammam Turkish baths, was accompanied by an excerpt. Finally, he moved to the reconstructed Zelená Žaba swimming pool.

The last day of the information trip, the Austrian journalists took up the familiar story that connected with Čachtice Castle and courageously explored the Čachtice underground. Journalists at the end of the three-day trip did not conceal the enthusiasm of the visited places they would present in their articles and outputs soon.
