HoryZonty - Festival of adventure films

The festival of adventure films will once again bring the latest outdoor films, presentations, discussions and exhibitions to Trenčín for 3 days, and there will also be a wide variety of accompanying events. The festival will take place already this week - from Thursday 9 to Saturday 11 November 2023 in the Crew Club (Army House) in Trenčín.

The organizers included films from 14 countries in the main festival program. In total, there are 27 images with the theme of travel and various outdoor sports - from mountain climbing, to skiing, ski mountaineering, cycling, running, kayaking, caving, paragliding, slacklining and even skateboarding. Two thirds are films from abroad, eight of which will be shown in the Slovak premiere. The film works are of different lengths, from the short 3-minute time-lapse film by Jozef Dovičin Slovakia to the 63-minute documentary Veľký kaňon by Pavel Barabáš.

Visitors to the festival can also view several exhibitions - Gustáv Stibrányi's Pan American Highway exhibition, or the Woman and Mountains photo exhibition portraying ultrarunner Soňa Kopčoková. There will be the best shots of the Adventure photo contest. The festival will once again offer visitors the opportunity to experience interesting activities in the city center. Cross-country races, porter competition on the Parish steps, or dog sledding are intended for all age categories. Other non-traditional activities designed especially for children will also be new.
