The majesty of old times

The manor house is located in Považská Bystrica in the Orlová area. In the past, a well-known figure in Orlov was built by the Hungarian nobleman Zigmund Balassa at the beginning of the 17th century. The later rebuilding, which was later transformed into a two-storeyed-winged manor house, provided the noble family with a comfortable, modern living, which Považský Castle could not afford. In the 18th century the castle was rebuilt, the courtyard with a fountain and a noble park grew. Balassovcisa of their time enjoyed the great appeal of the Habsburg court, thanks to which their Vorlovic residence was often attended by the Empress Maria Theresa.

The most valuable part of the castle belongs to the west wing of the late-baroque two-storey Chapel of St. John Nepomuk with Rococo interior. The familyBalass family owned this magnificent family home for 250 years. The historic Baroque manor house in Považská Bystrica, 1612, nowadays became the seat of a historical hotel called Hotel Gino Park Palace.

The Hotel Restaurant with the mysterious name of Kolchury breathes the grandeur and the atmosphere of the old-time.
