The summer in the Trenčín region belonged to trips to unexplored places of the region, swings in nature and explorers of all ages. Swing search, as the competition was called by the Regional Tourism Organization (KOCR) Trenčín region, motivated many searchers to find 10 unique swings hidden in different parts of the region between July 1 and September 30.

"As in previous years, this summer too we tried to prepare an engaging summer game that would motivate families with children to travel around the Trenčín region and get to know well-known and lesser-known locations. I think we have achieved this goal, since more than 1,000 contestants took part in the competition, of which up to 450 participants in 105 teams who met all the conditions of the competition successfully completed the competition," explained the point of the game, executive director of KOCR Trenčín region, Eva Dudová Frývaldská .

Despite the fact that the target group of the activity was mainly children and the main idea was to offer families a tip for a trip during the holidays, searchers from a few months old in a carrier to senior citizens took part in the competition. In addition to the families that made up the majority of the search teams, a group of friends, young couples, retired spouses or colleagues from work also took advantage of the opportunity to actively spend time and get to know the region.

Trips during the summer holidays brought families together

"Our swing trips were one of the best vacation experiences. Together as a family, we spent beautiful, precious moments of complete well-being. Along with us, friends, grandmothers, my sister, who was here on vacation as she lives abroad for a long time, also joined in our searches, and it was a really wonderful time. Well, it's just a great summer with beautiful trips to places where we probably wouldn't normally go," the summer game participant did not hide her enthusiasm.

During the trips, all the contestants were accompanied by an illustrated map with clues to find swings with a nice story about the elf Trenčanek and the fairy Hojdalka. Each swing hid one letter, which had to be marked in the appropriate place. The completed map, which hid the fairy-tale name of the Trenčia region "Hojdačkovo", was a condition for successful completion of the competition.

Interesting prices were also a motivation

The reward for each successful researcher was original Trenčín region socks with graphics of the region's most beautiful monuments. In addition, each search team was entered into a drawing for 28 valuable prizes. The main prize of the competition was an electric scooter from KOCR Trenčín region or a stay for 2 nights in the luxury hotel Gino Park Palace**** in Orlovo. Other valuable prizes were, for example, a 2-night stay with breakfast at the Adriana guesthouse near Zelena voda or vouchers for any services at Hotel Elizabeth**** in Trenčín. Several contestants won family tickets to Čachtice Castle, Beckov or any event at Trenčín Castle, vouchers for creative ceramic painting in Bencovje grunt in Bojnice, family entry to the Bojnice ZOO or group entry to the escape game Alchemist in Mystería Bojnice.

The drawing of the winners took place at a special place - a swing, which KOCR Trenčín Region installed at Trenčín Castle, on the occasion of the launch of the Swing Hunt. All winners learned about their prize from the video recording of the draw, which is published on the website www.trencinregion.sk and the Trencin Region Facebook page.
